👨⚖️ Job Role: Head Legal & Prosecution
As the Head Legal & Prosecution, your primary responsibility will be to manage all legal and prosecutorial matters of PERA, assist the Director General on legal issues, and represent the organization in various legal forums. You will also oversee legal drafting, contract vetting, conflict resolution, and policy compliance.
📌 Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic legal advice to the Director General (PERA).
- Draft, vet, and finalize contracts, MOUs, and service-level agreements.
- Represent PERA and its employees in civil/criminal cases at all legal forums.
- Manage litigation procedures including writ petitions and government defense.
- Ensure legal compliance and protection of PERA’s operational decisions.
- Guide on conflict resolution, dispute prevention, and interpretation of laws.
- Liaise with legal forums, track proceedings, and report case progress.
- Maintain alignment of legal decisions with local and state laws.
- Prepare legal replies, memos, and official communications.
- Provide on-demand legal counsel to internal departments.
🎓 Eligibility Criteria
Education:
- LLB (3 or 5 years) or equivalent degree in Law from a recognized institution.
- MS/M.Phil or specialization in Corporate Laws is highly preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of practice as an Advocate.
- Proven experience in civil/criminal litigation, legal research, and court representation.
- Familiarity with local/state laws, government contract laws, and regulatory frameworks.
Age Limit: 22 to 70 years
