Jamshoro Power Company Islamabad Jobs 2023 For Secretary Jamshoro Power Company Limited (JPCL) located at Jamshoro is primarily responsible for generating electricity efficiently and managing the O&M system of the power plant competitively in the best interest of the nation. JPCL owns existing power generation units at Jamshoro and Kotri. JPCL is also in the process of installation of 2x660 MW Supercritical Coal Power project. In accordance with Public Sector Companies (Corporate Governance) Rules-2013, amended upto 2017, JPCL is actively looking for a high caliber professional to work as Company Secretary to a part of Senior Management Team. He shall be responsible for ensuring that procedures as well as all applicable laws, rules & regulations and other relevant decisions are complied with and implemented in letter & spirit. JPCL is seeking a pro-active, result-oriented and professional with established credibility and performance record who can take these challenging assignments effectively in the interest of Company. The candidate is required to have strong secretarial abilities, interpersonal & communication skills with high drive for achieving management goals and targets.

JOB PROFILE:

Company Secretary will be responsible for effectively managing the affairs of JPCL Board of Directors (BOD) by ensuring that Board procedures are followed, and that all applicable laws, rules & regulations and other relevant statements of best practices are complied with. He will also keep a close liaison between Management and BoD in an efficient manner. He will ensure compliance of statutory provisions of all corporate laws applicable to JPCL and to align the wide ranging responsibilities of the Board of Directors with Public Sector Companies (Corporate Governance) Rules, 2013. He will work as a driving force for the Company to contribute to meet the requirements of corporate governance and legal implications of proposed policies.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

The candidate must be: (a) Member of recognized body of professional Accountants; OR (b) Member of recognized body of Corporate or Chartered Secretaries; OR (c) Master Degree in Business Administration or Commerce or Law Graduate from a University recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) with at least 05 years relevant experience.

AGE:

The age of candidate should not be more than 55 years as on the last date of submission of application.

TENURE:

The employment contract shall be initially for a period of two (02) years extendable subject to satisfactory performance.

REMUNERATION:

Competitive salary package commensurate with the qualification and experience.
